**The Telegraph Reports on Sergei Surovikin’s Possible Return to Command of Russian Forces**
*The Telegraph* has reported that General **Sergei Surovikin**, known as “General Armageddon,” may have returned to command Russian forces in the area of the conflict in Ukraine. The information has **not been officially confirmed**.
According to the publication, Surovikin has reportedly been tasked with disrupting transportation links across the **Dnipro River**, with the aim of putting pressure on Kyiv and complicating movement between the river’s two banks during the winter.
The Telegraph reports that **seven bridges across the Dnipro** could be at risk. Even without being completely destroyed, significant damage could force their closure for an extended period and severely disrupt road and rail traffic.
The newspaper also points to shortages of ammunition for Ukraine’s air-defense systems, particularly **Patriot interceptor missiles**, while claiming that Moscow is adapting its tactics and increasingly targeting infrastructure with broader strategic objectives.
If confirmed, Surovikin’s return would be a notable development—but for now, the key word remains **“reported.”** In wartime, even generals can sometimes return to the battlefield before the rumors about them do.
